ATEX junction boxes

An ATEX junction box safely connects your instrumentation, power or lighting cables in hazardous areas. We supply it equipped and ready to install: terminal blocks, cable glands, labelling and rating plate.
Ex e or Ex d?
- Ex e (increased safety) : the most common solution for a terminal junction box. Light, cost-effective and easy to open for maintenance (when de-energised, except Ex i circuits). BAS-P, BAS-A and BAS-I ranges.
- Ex d (flameproof) : when the box also contains components that can produce sparks. The gas group depends on the enclosure: IIB, IIB+H2 or IIC. DAS, CAS, EJB and EJC ranges.
Our options

- Graphite-loaded polyester, aluminium alloy, cast iron or 316L stainless steel.
- Certified Ex e terminal blocks, from signal to power.
- Cable glands for armoured or unarmoured cables, in nickel-plated brass or 316L stainless steel.
- Extended ambient temperature down to −55 °C / up to +60 °C depending on the range.
- Dedicated lighting junction boxes (BAS-P9 lighting junction box).
Applications
Process instrumentation, sensors, motorised valves, hazardous-area lighting, electric heat tracing, power distribution.
